It gets cold in the South. It can get very cold in the South. There is a FREEZE warning and there is a HARD FREEZE WARNING that the National Weather Service issues…a HARD FREEZE WARNING means cover your plants, bring your pets indoors and cover any exposed pipes because if the temperature goes into the mid to low 20’s any exposed pipes will freeze and possibly burst. You can drip water in a sink that will keep your pipes from freezing. The “Northshore” is more likely to have a HARD FREEZE than the “Southshore”…remember “PETS, PIPES, PLANTS”.
A FREEZE warning is high 20’s to mid 30’s…this is what the National Weather Service posted on their website this morning.
