So moving to Louisiana or specifically to New Orleans there are all sorts of things I found out in time that are different between here and New York in terms of taking care of a dog. Some of the vegetation is different and poisonous here – things I had never heard of. The type of flea medication that my dog takes here is different than what my dog took in New York….so here is a list of dangerous plants and household products that can be fatal to your dog.
By the way there are loads of really wonderful Veterinarians in New Orleans and the Metairie area. If you have an Emergency and don’t know where to go there is a 24/7 emergency hospital out in Metairie. Southeast Veterinary Specialists...my puppy recently ate a grape and needed his little stomach pumped because grapes are toxic to dogs…at 5am they took him immediately and found the grape…so,
