A bit of a controversial topic. I have always thought that online reviews might be suspect and not what they seem. I believe that most agent’s are honest and would not post a review that wasn’t truthful and that they hadn’t earned. But then there are the agent’s who pay for reviews or copy and paste reviews just changing the location and agent’s name or even individuals who are real and will write a review for a price.
Before the internet and I guess still in certain professions letters of recommendation are requested and we would always gave the names of references who we knew would give us a good review. I always felt that wasn’t giving a complete picture however it was accepted practice. After all who would give the name of someone who wasn’t going to say nice things about them to a future employer.
Now we have Bryan & Yvonne Carpenter. Bryan and Yvonne have bought hundreds of homes during the past few years, hundreds and all over the country….just click the link and you can see all of the houses they have bought. Hmmm.
This coupled with the recent report that 30% of the reviews on Yelp are fictitious how can we really know if reviews are truthful or not?
